So I understand I need to update the firmware on this 10 year old DeviceMaster so it can be discovered via UDP rather than MAC, but how do I update the firmware if I can't even detect it? Couldn't find a forum post on this topic.

Thanks,
Jerry

Hi Jerry,

We have a firmware updater tool which could be useful for your situation.
You can download it here:
http://downloads.comtrol.com/contribs/devicemaster/beta/DM-F irmware-Updater-Setup-2.02.exe

Put in the IP Address of your DeviceMaster
Browse to the location of the firmware
Then click on Update.

One additional feature which is nice, is that you can give it a range of IP Addresses and will scan the network within that range.
Select the DeviceMaster to update, then update.

Let me know how it goes.

Kurt

do you have the firmware updater tool in 32 bit?

after installing on XPSP3 (yes I know) it tells me this is not a valid 32bit application

Thanks for any assistance

Rob

Hi Rob,

I did manage to get all my Comtrols to update using this tool.

Unfortunately, my notes are in my office, and my office is closed due to the pandemic.

Next time I'm in the office, I'll track down my notes and get them to you ASAP.

BTW: I have machines going back to Win95. Because you never know!

Cheers,
Jerry
