A generic problem:
My local network is based on 192.... the device had previously been configured for 10.... and the port scanner could not find it.
Tech support told me to disconnect the network and directly connect the device to the PC as the only device. It did not work.
I finally found the pin hole for a hardware reset and that worked.

My PC has dual network cards, one is used for the 192... the other one unused. That brings me to the generic question:
How can I configure the second network card for 10.... and what browser will understand to look for the second card and IP address?

I have been doing a lot of googling but only found one very complex suggestion. There ought to be a simple way.
Another common task: Change, or test, a network camera. The NVR network is on 10... so it is the same problem.
Can you please suggest how I can use the second network card?

Hi Bertho

The IP Address will default to with a subnet of Make sure your subnet matches as well.
To troubleshoot, see if you can disable your other NIC temporarily and see if you can ping the Device Master's IP Address. If successful, then enable the other NIC and give it a try.

If unsuccessful, double check you Ethernet settings by running ipconfig from the command line and look at the ipv4 settings.

PortVision will need to match the firmware you are running. If the firmware is above 4.x then use PortVision 5.1. If an earlier version of firmware, then use version 3.05.
